Isn't The Tipping Point _interesting_? I'm a connector (not the Wheaton kind, the Gladwell kind). Or at least, I was in my old life. I'm still developing it here, but it does seem to be my nature.
I think you will also be interested in Freakonomics, though of course be disturbed by some of its conclusions... Let me know how it turns out.
