The Chosen is an excellent beginning of summer read. I read it on my favorite vacation- after 10th grade, on a houseboat with my family, nothing to do but read and jump in the water and read some more. I believe there are Lake Powell stains on various pages, but I don't think Chaim would mind.
Come to think of it, my favorite vacations are the ones where I read, then get in the water, and read some more... Which is why the vacation you're about to go on rates in my top 5 too. =) Enjoy the Cape!
INKHEART! looooooooooooooooooooooooooove that one. did emily tell you to read it? its one of our favorites, and the movie comes out sometime next year i think. SO great. some reeeaaaallly cool characters. be sure to read inkspell after it too.
